Paul Stewart (born 10 July 1987) is an Australian Rules Footballer who currently plays for Port Adelaide in the AFL and Woodville West-Torrens in the SANFL. He was taken in the second round in the 2006 AFL Draft, pick number 23 overall from Woodville West Torrens, and was drafted onto Port Adelaide's senior list. He was part of the young guns Port Adelaide recruited in the 2006 draft, with teammate Brett Ebert saying the group is the best recruits he has seen at the club in four years. [1]
In 2006, he started in the Eagles (Woodville West Torrents) Under 19’s and by the end of year, was a league premiership player. He was in the side that won the 2006 SANFL Premiership. Can play either in the midfield/wing or as a forward, and was already a fan of Port Adelaide before being drafted.
Stewart made his debut for Port Adelaide in Round 1, 2008 against reigning premiers Geelong. Stewart had a very good debut gaining a very respectable 18 disposals, with 7 kicks, 11 handballs & 5 marks. Stewart wears jumper number 14 when in Port Adelaide colours.
